Synopsis

Puji dan syukur penulis panjatkan kehadirat Tuhan Yang Maha Esa atas berkat yang telah diberikan kepada penulis. Penyelesaian buku teks ini merupakan hasil dari Berkah-Nya. Impian penulis adalah menulis sebuah buku yang nantinya akan membantu komunitas petani lebah dan masyarakat luas yang lebih besar. Mengingat sebagian besar masyarakat Indonesia masih belum memahami apa itu bee pollen, mengapa buku tentang bee pollen ini ditulis? Buku ini berkaitan dengan asal usul bee pollen, bagian apa saja yang terkait dengan bee pollen, bagaimana proses pembuatannya, bagaimana mengambil keuntungan darinya, dan bagaimana mengekstraknya serta bagaimana kehebatan bee pollen sebagai salah satu makanan yang disebut "makanan super". Selain itu, bee pollen ini juga sebagai sumber obat-obatan karena memiliki aktivitas antioksidan, antiinflamasi, kandungan fitokimia yang tinggi dan metabolit sekunder lainya yang luar biasa. Akibatnya, penulis dihadapkan pada kesulitan mewujudkan teks untuk buku ini, yang diilhami oleh rasa ingin tahu dan disatukan menggunakan penelitian, dan catatan penulis. Dalam upaya memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat, penulis berupaya menggunakan bahasa yang mudah dipahami.

Penulis mengucapkan terima kasih kepada Bapak Danu dan Rendy yang merupakan pemilik peternakan lebah dan telah memberikan kesempatan kepada penulis untuk melakukan penelitian dan pengambilan sampel bee pollen. Politeknik Pertanian Negeri Samarinda membantu penerbitan naskah buku ini, dan penulis sangat menghargai bantuan mereka.

Sebagai penutup, penulis ingin mengucapkan terima kasih kepada suami dan dua kedua anak penulis atas pengertian dan kesabarannya dalam memanfaatkan waktu luangnya di malam hari dan di hari libur untuk mempersiapkan teks ini. Mereka memberikan bantuan penting, yang tanpanya pekerjaan ini tidak akan selesai.

Tidak ada gading yang patah, menurut pepatah, meskipun ada upaya terbaik untuk menghindari kesalahan. Buku ini banyak retak karena bukan gading. Jadi, untuk menjadikan buku ini ideal, penulis mengharapkan pembaca terbuka terhadap kritik dan ide.

Author Biographies

Netty Maria Naibaho, Politeknik Pertanian Negeri Samarinda

NETTY MARIA NAIBAHO, Dosen Teknologi Hasil Perkebunan, Politeknik Pertanian Negeri Samarinda, lahir di Desa Bandar Hinalang pada tanggal 2 Oktober 1985. Mendapat gelar sarjana Teknologi Hasil Pertanian Tahun 2008 di Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Mulawarman Samarinda. Menyelesaikan Pendidikan Program Pascasarjana Master Double Degree di King Mongkut's University of Technology di Thonburi, Bangkok, dan Universitas Brawijaya, Malang, pada tahun 2012.

Sejak tahun 2014 sampai sekarang, penulis menjabat sebagai ketua Laboratorium Mikrobiologi Program Studi Teknologi Hasil Perkebunan. Pernah menjadi Ketua Rekognisi Pembelajaran Masa Lampau (RPL) Politeknik Pertanian Negeri Samarinda Tahun 2018-2020 dan Ketua Program Pendidikan Di Luar Domisili (PDD) Akademi Negeri Bulungan (AKN) Provinsi Kalimantan Utara Tahun 2019-2021.

Penulis telah berkecimpung dalam kegiatan profesional dari tahun 2010-2016 sebagai anggota PATPI dari Ikatan Ahli Teknologi Pangan Indonesia. Sejak tahun 2016 sampai sekarang sebagai Anggota Pergizi Pangan Se Indonesia cabang Kalimantan Timur. Selain itu, penulis adalah juga mengajar di Politeknik Kesehatan Samarinda (POLTEKKES).

ELISA GINSEL POPANG, Lahir di Enrekang pada tanggal 29 Desember 1970. Menyelesaikan pendidikan S1 Teknologi Hasil Pertanian Jurusan Teknologi Pertanian di Universitas Hasanuddin pada tahun 1995 dan S2 pada Program Studi Teknologi Hasil Perkebunan Fakultas Teknologi Pertanian Universitas Gadjah Mada tahun 2011. Sejak tahun 2003 sampai sekarang penulis menjadi dosen pada Prodi Teknologi Hasil Perkebunan Politeknik Pertanian Negeri Samarinda.
